
Bulgogi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500g beef (thinly sliced, preferably sirloin or ribeye)
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon mirin (optional)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, sesame seeds, mirin (if using), honey (if using), and black pepper until well combined.
- Marinate the Beef: Place the thinly sliced beef in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the beef, making sure it's evenly coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight for the best flavor.
- Cooking: Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened. Then, add the marinated beef along with the marinade sauce. Cook the beef, stirring occasionally, until it's cooked through and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add Green Onions: Add chopped green onions to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional minute.
- Serve: Transfer the bulgogi to a serving dish and garnish with additional sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite side dishes.
